Licensing lets you add a revenue stream by selling an established, well-known brand out of your restaurant’s kitchen.

How Do I Get People to Try My Restaurant Using DoorDash Marketing?

  • Sponsored Listings: Ads that are featured in highly visible places on the DoorDash app, like the homepage and search results

  • New Customer Promotions: Drive sales by enticing customers with a discount, free delivery, free or discounted items, and more

What is a Sponsored Listing?

Sponsored Listings are ads that are featured in highly visible places on the DoorDash app, like the homepage and search results, which helps you attract new customers. Unlike ads on other platforms, Sponsored Listings are pay-per-order, not per click. That means you only pay for the ad when an order is placed through it—you aren’t charged for clicks or impressions.

How Do I Create a New Sponsored Listing?

1. In the Merchant Portal, navigate to the Marketing tab and select “Run a Campaign” from the drop-down list to create a campaign. Click Select under “Advertise to Customers.”
2. Choose the target audience, budget, and duration for your Sponsored Listing.
3. Click on Create Sponsored Listing to go live with your campaign.

2. On the Solutions Centre, navigate to the "Attract New Customers" section and “Advertise to Customers.” Click Create a Campaign.

What are Promotions?

Promotions incentivize customers to order and spend more with your business. When you run a promotion, your business will be prominently featured to your target audience in the Offers tab of the DoorDash app. You can offer new customers a discount, free delivery, or a free or discounted item.

How Do I Create a New Offer?

1. In the Merchant Portal, navigate to the Marketing tab and select “Run a Campaign” from the drop-down list to create a campaign. Choose a promotion under the “New Customer Growth” section by clicking Select.
2. Select the type and duration of your promotion and (if applicable) which stores will offer it.

1. Navigate to the Merchant Portal, go to the "Add Solutions" tab.
2. On the Solutions Centre, navigate to the "Attract New Customers" section. Choose whether you want to run a “Discount for New Customers” or “First Order, $0 delivery fee” promotion by clicking Create a Campaign.

What are Storefront Promotions?

Encourage direct orders from your website, and increase commission-free sales, with targeted promotions.

How Do I Create a Storefront Promotion?

1. Navigate to the Marketing tab of the Merchant Portal to create a campaign.
2. Select Create a Storefront Promotion.
3. Choose the type and duration of your promotion and (if applicable) which stores will offer it.

What is Licensing?

We’ll help you license an existing brand from an established brick-and-mortar merchant, and you’ll use your space, staff and equipment to develop that brand’s menu items. You’ll earn additional revenue (at low or no cost) by offering these items to customers using a separate, virtual-only menu on DoorDash. DoorDash will handle the training, marketing and DoorDash store page.
